MESA, CANON AND PUEBLO. Charles Lummis

Charles LummisBrick-colored cloth boards with bright gilt & black decoration, and black lettering. Near fine copy. An excellent copy with a bit of history. First, it is signed “best wishes” by Charles Lummis, dated Oct 11, 1926. Second, it has an additional gift inscription “To Mrs. Ella Robinson who also was a friend of Chas. Lummis. | Jennie Lernhart” (not dated but before ballpoint pens.) Finally, this copy also has a small folding brochure promoting the book. Eight pages, one leaf, includes the tear-off order form, with Charles Lummis’ address stamped above the Century Co. address. Color frontis, black & white photographic plates. Only real flaw is that the advertising brochure is held within a small envelope, the flap of which has been licked & affixed to front endpaper. Book is now in mylar sleeve (but no dust jacket.) $145
