Beautiful leather bound art book on Turner

Edited by Charles Holme

John Lane, Offices of the International Studio, 1903

This is a beautiful art book, bound in deep red leather on spine & corners, with marbled paper-covered boards and marbled endpapers. Pages uncut. Color frontis & plates of paintings, as well as b/w reproductions.

An insightful critical approach to Turner, published by the Studio, which was one of the earliest publications to specialize in art criticism.

Measures 11-3/4″ x 8-3/4″ and a little under 1″ thick.

This would make a great addition to an art library, or to a collection of finely bound books.
